Study Background For some individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD), walking is easier when aided by visual or auditory cues. This research study aims to understand what factors influence movement in people with PD and why some patients move better when visual targets or rhythmic sounds guide them. The purpose of this research study is to investigate the brain mechanisms involved in movement and walking in patients with Parkinson's disease.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

- 18+ years old
- Parkinson's disease diagnosis
- No other neurological conditions
- No dementia or hallucinations
- No history of deep brain stimulation surgery
- Patients with trouble walking are especially encouraged to enroll (not a requirement)
If you decide to participate in this study, you will undergo a brief telephone interview followed by 1-2 study visits lasting up to 2 hours. Visits involve computer tasks or walking in a clinic setting during the recording of movements and brain waves.
Eligible participants will be compensated up to $25 per hour for their time, plus will receive reimbursement for parking.
