Researchers at NYU Langone are looking for women diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) who use cannabis (marijuana and related products) and want to quit or cut down their use.
NYU Researchers are looking for women diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and who use cannabis (marijuana and related products) for a remote study about the effects of meditation and brain stimulation.
The study includes up to 20 virtual brain stimulation and mindfulness meditation treatment sessions via Zoom over a 4-6 week period that you can attend from the comfort of your own home.
The aim of the study is to investigate whether these interventions could effectively alleviate distress and reduce cannabis use among women with MS. Join our compensated study today!
You could be eligible to participate in this study if you meet the following criteria:
Eligibility Criteria:
Female between the ages of 21 and 65
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS)
Cannabis user (marijuana and/or related products)
Want to reduce or stop cannabis use (smoking, vaping, edibles)
Don't have a medical prescription for cannabis
No history of traumatic brain injury
Not pregnant
No substance use disorder of other drugs
If you decide to participate in this study, you will attend 20 virtual brain stimulation and mindfulness meditation visits carried out through Zoom over a period of 4 to 6 weeks, followed by three follow-up visits.
Participants will be compensated up to $250. Plus, the study is fully remote, so you can participate from the comfort of your own home.
There is no cost for you to participate in this study.
