About Our Research Study Yale University researchers are partnering with healthy volunteers to inform future treatments for Depression. Researchers are testing a new medication that's being developed to treat Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and decrease the severity of opioid withdrawal symptoms. The purpose of this study is to measure brain responses in healthy volunteers after taking one dose of the study medication. This will help researchers identify the optimal dose for future use in individuals suffering from MDD and opioid withdrawal. This study aims to evaluate the effects of a new study medication being developed to treat Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and to decrease the severity of opioid withdrawal symptoms. Researchers need to enroll healthy volunteers in order to make accurate comparisons.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

- 18-55 years old
- No major health conditions
- No substance use disorder
- Able and willing to attend two overnight stays at the Hospital Research Unit (HRU)
If you agree to participate in this research study, you will be asked to complete the following visits:
- Screening Visit (medical evaluation and MRI scan)
- Treatment visit (HRU overnight stay-in, PET Scan, and study medication dosing)
- A follow-up phone call
Compensation up to $1,525 plus reimbursement for transportation and parking will be provided for completing the study.
