Study Background

If you are 55-75 years old and do NOT have diabetes, you may be eligible for a research study at Northwestern University. Researchers are investigating the effects of meal timing and melatonin on outcomes such as diabetes and high blood pressure.


This study consists of 10 visits over a 6-9 month period scheduled approximately 7-14 days apart. There will be two in-patient visits at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago (these visits take place over three consecutive days & nights) and eight out-patient visits, which will take place at the Sleep and Circadian Center located at Northwestern's Chicago Campus or Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
