Study Background
Researchers at the Medical University of South Carolina are looking for individuals, who experience postpartum depression, to participate in a clinical research study on postpartum depression.
The purpose of this study is to test new treatment options for individuals with postpartum depression and to improve quality of life. The study will have 6-7 in-person visits in addition to online forms and phone assessments that include medical and psychiatric assessments as part of the study.

The purpose of this study is to test new treatment options for individuals with postpartum depression and to improve quality of life.
You may qualify for this study if you meet the following criteria.

- Over 18 years old
- Experiencing Postpartum Depression
- Not currently pregnant
Once enrolled, participation involves:
- 6-7 in-person visits with 6 total treatment visits spread over two weeks: three treatment days during week one, one week off, then three more treatment days during week three.
- Complete online forms and a telephone assessment at weekly intervals until 4 weeks after treatment.
- Participants will be receiving non-invasive brain stimulation (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation)
- Self-assessment scales to monitor changes in mood and anxiety
Participants can be compensated up to $200 Clincard (gas and childcare reimbursement available) for participating in this study.
There is no cost to participating in the study.
