Depression is one of many risk factors for Type 2 diabetes. We also know that rates of depression tend to increase in the teenage years, especially for girls. These three studies want to see if participating in a group program can help decrease feelings of depression and stress, and as a result, lower the chance of getting Type 2 diabetes.
