Study Background
We want to understand more about what drives self-harming thoughts and behaviors.

Negative urgency is the tendency to act impulsively in the context of negative emotion. High levels of negative urgency may place people at increased risk of self-harming thoughts and behaviors. In this study, researchers will examine brain functioning related to negative urgency in teens and young adults with depression and thoughts or behaviors related to self-harm.

We are recruiting teens and young adults who have current depression, and who have experienced either suicidal thoughts or behaviors.
