About this research study
Researchers are investigating the correlation between common sleeping patterns and increases in inflammation.
You don't get sleep during the work-week and are forced to "catch up" on sleep over the weekend. This is a common sleep pattern that people go through that can lead to flares in the inflammatory system which never properly recovers. Unfortunately, this ongoing inflammation in your body is involved in the development of many human diseases.

The study is investigating a solution that could provide a new approach to mitigate inflammation in your body and potentially future disease risks in those undergoing periods of sleep restriction. Researchers believe it's crucial to identify a solution given these sleep behaviors are unlikely to go away in the near future.
