Join a research study that can potentially help relieve your cocaine addiction and help researchers learn more about the effectiveness of a novel medication.
An investigational medication is being tested to help patients struggling with addiction relapse. This medication affects the brain in areas that are associated with addiction and motivation.
Your participation involves staying in a hospital overnight and taking varying doses of the medication to determine the optimal dose of the medication to best help people struggling with cocaine addiction.

Additional Information
This study aims to help fight cocaine addiction through a new medication. This medication affects brain areas associated with addiction and may decrease motivation for cocaine use.
This study is for you if you are
- 18-65 years old
- Currently using cocaine or recently stopped
- Able to join an inpatient study that requires you to stay in a hospital for 11 days
- Willing to remain abstinent during the study
- Willing to undergo five structural MRI and MRS scans
Participation includes visits that will occur at the Episcopal Hospital campus of the Temple University Health System. If you are eligible, you will stay in our medical unit overnight for multiple days. You will receive the investigational medication, have MRI scans, and complete cognitive assessments.
You will be compensated for participation in this study.
There is no cost for you to participate in the study.
